Hands-On, Holistic Physio & Exercise Rehab in Bibra Lake

Stephanie Lock, Owner of Adventure Physio

Hi, I’m Steph. Physio, strength and conditioning coach and founder of Adventure Physio, Bibra Lake.

I take a whole-body, nervous system-first approach to get to the root of what’s going on so you can get back to living a healthy, fulfilling life full of meaning and possibility.

In my personal life, you’ll find me where my four essentials for happiness are: Nature, delicious food, good people and moving my body outside. Bonus points if my partner and Great Dane, Annie are there.

Curious how I work?

Steph is fantastic and she is an incredibly knowledgeable physio. I appreciate the commitment she puts into finding the root cause of the issues I’ve been experiencing. Steph is exceptionally good at communicating to me what she is doing (and what I should be doing!) in a way I understand and can action. Her knowledge about outdoor and adventure sports and activities sets her apart. I highly recommend Steph.

Adventure Physio’s Approach

I blend physiotherapy with strength and conditioning, Pilates, osteopathic visceral techniques, and functional neurology.

This whole body approach allows me to treat the root causes of your issue, not just surface symptoms.

What to Expect in a Session

I’m passionate about exercise based rehab, but we’re also very hands on. I have been introduced at parties as “the physio who isn’t afraid to touch people.”

Your session might include massage, dry needling, joint manipulation or taping.

Sometimes we’ll look deeper, exploring whether your organs (such as your stomach or lungs), your vestibular system, balance, or even eye movements are contributing to the issue.

We may also talk about the deeper factors influencing your recovery: Your beliefs about pain or injury, how you’re coping emotionally, stress and nervous system regulation and lasting behaviour change strategies

Healing can be difficult when your nervous system is overloaded. Sometimes, we need to address that first.
